Miniature Round Circular Connectors With Threaded Coupling (Unsealed) ApplicationMiniature round circilar connector-unsealed, series 17, are intended for usage in connection of electrical lines, in electro appliances and systems, as well as for appliances with multi-core cables and bunches of condujctors.
They are intended for operation in circuits-voltages up to 560 V (i.e.up to 7oo&, DC or 500 V ACrms,frequency up to 3 MHz.
Connectors series 17, with female contact, can mate also with corresponding hermetically sealed connectors series 19, accordinfg to SNO 5182. The characteristics of sujch mated connectors correspond to lower requirement of one of them.
Connectors series 17, by their characteristics fulfil requirements of SNO Test Certificate verifies their quality.
Construction
Depending on its funciton, connector can be produced in two versions: panel mounted connectors, cable mountred connectors.
Shell
Connector shell is made of light-metals alloy and with anodized finish. Shell style can be as follows:
Panel monted connectors:
A - with square mounting flange, without back-shell
with square mounting flange, with back-shell.
Cable mounted connectors:
E - for cable termination (free connector)
for cable extending.
Panel mounting shells are produced in 10 sizes: 14, 18, 22, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39,45; and cable mountedshells are made in 11 sizes: 14, 18, 22, 24, 27, 3o, 33, 36, 39, 42 and 45.
Connector of any style and size can have either male or female contacts.
Contacts
Contacts (male and female) are made of copper alloy and are hard silver or gold plated. They are produced in 4 sizes: 10, 14, 16, 20. The conductor terminations are solder pot and can be used either for normal conductor size (Form "A") or for bigger size (Form "B")
Arrangements which contain contacts with terminations form "A" i. e. form "B" are represented in the contact arrangement list.

Connector insert is made of fenolit and it consists of two parts. They are fixed in the shell. Contact identifications on both parts of connector insert are non-erasable.
