Round Circular Conectors Of Normal Overall DimensionsApplication
Round circular connectors with threaded coupling-series 15,have normal overall dimensions and are intended for usage in connection of electrical lines, parts of electro and radio appliances, appliances with multi-core cables, i.e. bundles of conductors of for extension of multi-core cables. They are intended for operation in circuit -voltages up to 850 V DC or 500 V AC rms, grequency up to 3 MHz. Their characteristics fultil requirements of SNO 5180, and TOC Test Certificate confirms their quality.
Construction
Depending on it's function, connector can be produced in two versions:
panel mounted connector,
cable mounted connector.
Panel mounted connector can be unsealed or axially airtight sealed.
Cable mounted connectors are not sealed.
Non - sealed panel or cable mounted connectgors are produced with male and female contacts. Sealed panel mounted connector are maunufactured with male contacts only. The only exception are 152A20 002AFB6 and 152A36015AFB6 which are axially sealed connectors with female contacts.
Shell
Connector shell is made of Al -alloy with anodized finish. Depending on connector s purpose, shell style can be as follows:
Panel mounting connectors:
with square mounting flange, without a back-shell
with squae mounting flange, with a back-shell
Cable mounting connectors:
E - for cable terminating (free connector)
F - for cable extending
All above mentioned styles are produced in 10 sizes: 12, 16,20.28.32.36.40,48,55 and 60.
Contacts
Contacts (male and female) are made of copper alloy and are hard silver plated. They are made in 5 sizes (16, 12, 8, 4, 0) and conductor terminations are solder pot.
All contact, except sizes 12 and 0, have Aform conductor termination.
Contact size 12 is made in two forms: form A and form B.

(Arrangements which contain contacts with terminations:
form A i. e. form B, are represented in the contact arrangement list).
Contact size "0" is fixed to conductor by a terminal, which is soldered to the
conductor and fixed by a screw to the contact - terminal being suppllied as a contact
part.

Connector insert is made of phenolite. They are fixed in the shell. In case of sealed connector, insulator is monoblock,while with non-sealed connectors it is two-piece. Contact identifications on the insert are nonerasable.
Back shell
Connector back-shell is made of aluminium alloy and anodized.
Depending on it?s funmction, back-shell can be:
for unshielded cables of bundles of conductors,
for shield cables
Both kinds of back-shell can have following styles: straight of angled.
Back-shell for shieled cables can be used for potting with silicone or semisulphide two-component filling for better endurance of terminations to vibrations, i.e. better sealing.
Back-shell ferrule for termination of cable shield is not integral part of the connector and should be orderd separately.
Back-shell for non-shielded cables is provided with the system for unloading of termination points of conductor with contacts.
